Community Involvement
A member of the Chicago Bar Association and the Illinois State Bar Association, Ms. Porter is a recognized leader in the legal profession. She has been a member of the Bankruptcy Executive Council of the Commercial Law League of America and served as a faculty member of the Illinois Professional Responsibility Institute.
In 2016, Ms. Porter served as the chairwoman of the Task Force on Community Development and Violence Reduction for the Union League Club of Chicago. Ms. Porter is also associated with other civic organizations in the city of Chicago. Currently, Ms. Porter is a small group leader and a member of the Cook County Jail ministry team at her church.
